There are many types of fire monitors, including automatic fire monitors, manual fire monitors, fixed fire monitors, mobile fire monitors, and fire foam monitors, etc.
Different water monitors have different uses and functions. Today, Mingyue Fire brings you to understand how fire monitors are maintained during use.
  1. Fire monitors should be used within the specified pressure range.
  2. Fire monitors should be regularly checked for integrity and operational flexibility. If any fasteners are found loose, they should be repaired promptly to keep the monitor in good working condition.
  3. Rotating the jet adjustment ring can change the water flow from a stream to a spray, or from a spray back to a stream.
  4. After each use, the fire monitor should be flushed with clean water for a period of time, then the water inside the monitor should be drained.
  5. The rotating parts of the monitor should be regularly lubricated to ensure smooth rotation.
  6. When operating the water jet, loosen the locking screw, adjust the direction and angle of the monitor's spray, then increase to the required pressure.
  7. No one should stand in front of the nozzle while the fire monitor is spraying.
  8. When not in use, the fire monitor should be placed in a horizontal position and covered with a rainproof cloth.
  9. The monitor should not be used to extinguish energized equipment to avoid electric shock.
