In fact, the fire monitor should be regularly checked for its integrity and operational flexibility. If any fasteners are found to be loose, they should be repaired promptly to keep the monitor in good working condition. In places with heavy dust, it is better to clean the dust quarterly or monthly, especially around the detection and positioning sensor areas, and keep proper records.
1. Inspection and Maintenance of the Fire Monitor Control Center
1. The fire monitor control host should ensure normal power supply of 220V, 50HZ.
2. Conduct daily inspections of the fire monitor control host panel lights, display screen, switch buttons, manual/automatic switch key, etc., to check if they are functioning properly and if the display screen shows any faults.
3. Check whether the switching between the main fire power supply and the backup power supply is normal. The inspection method is: under automatic control mode, manually cut off the main fire power supply and observe the activation of the backup power supply and the indicator lights; under manual control mode, first cut off the main fire power supply, then close the backup fire power supply, and observe the activation and indicator lights of the backup power supply.
2. Inspection and Maintenance of Fire Monitor Water Pump and Waterway System
1. Water Pump: Perform general maintenance once a month (cleaning, tightening screws, oil replenishment or oil replacement); perform comprehensive maintenance once every six months (decontamination cleaning, tightening screws, replacing engine oil or grease, replacing shock-absorbing pads); start the fire pump 1-3 times monthly at the fire pump control cabinet, each run lasting no less than 5 minutes, check the operation of the control cabinet and pump unit, verify if all displays and feedback signals on the control cabinet are normal, check if the pump operation and pressurization are normal, and keep relevant records. Start the fire pump unit once a month at the fire control center, check if the start, stop, and all feedback functions are normal, and keep relevant records. Check monthly whether the fire pump power operation is normal, whether the flow and pressure meet the water supply requirements of the ZDMS series automatic tracking positioning jet fire extinguishing system, and ensure the status of uninterrupted power supply equipment is intact. Check the switching function between the main and backup pumps monthly and keep relevant records.
2. Waterway: Observe the starting frequency of the pressure stabilizing pump to determine if there are leaks in the pipeline system. Conduct a monthly visual inspection of the pipeline system, checking for mechanical damage, paint peeling, rust, etc., and verify if the pipeline is firmly fixed. Any issues found should be addressed promptly and recorded. At least 20% of the pipeline ends must be drained quarterly to ensure good water quality inside the pipes.
The fire monitor manufacturer reminds everyone: the backup power supply should undergo 1-2 charge-discharge tests quarterly and 1-3 main/backup power switching tests. The cleaning and draining of the fire water tank should be done no less than twice a year. After all inspections are completed, the host must be reset to enter normal monitoring operation status.
