The maintenance of the fire monitor should be handled by a dedicated person. After the dual-purpose monitor sprays foam, the interior must be rinsed with clean water, and then the accumulated water should be drained. Every three months, an operational test should be conducted on the electric fire monitor control cabinet to ensure the motor operates normally and stably.
  1. The fire monitor should be kept clean. After use, tilt the barrel to pour out any remaining liquid inside the chamber, rinse the exterior with clean water, and wipe off any water stains.
  2. The fire monitor should undergo regular maintenance. After the first use and every six months thereafter, all fasteners of the fire monitor should be inspected once.
  3. Lubricating grease should be applied every six months to the worm gear meshing area and other rotating parts to ensure smooth movement.
  4. All components should be kept in good condition. If any fasteners are found loose or other parts damaged, repairs should be made promptly.
  5. When not in use, cover the monitor with a rainproof cloth. Portable monitors should be stored in a place that is at normal temperature, dry, and free of corrosion.
  6. If the fire monitor's spray pressure is too high or the range is too short, check whether the nozzle is blocked. If there is a blockage, it should be removed promptly.
  7. If there is leakage at any connection points of the fire monitor, check whether the seals are intact. If damaged, the seals should be replaced promptly.
  8. If the rotating parts of the fire monitor are not flexible, operation is difficult, or the angle adjustment cannot reach the required range, lubricating grease should be applied to the rotating parts or the parts should be replaced promptly.
  9. If the control cabinet of the electric fire monitor cannot operate the motor, check whether the connection between the control cabinet and the motor is normal. If connected properly but still not operable, repair or replacement should be done promptly.
  10. The remote control battery should be checked regularly and replaced promptly if the power is insufficient.
  11. In cold regions, attention should be paid to drainage, insulation, and other anti-freezing and cold protection measures.
  12. When the fire monitor is used as a vehicle-mounted monitor on a fire truck, a support bracket for the fire monitor spray pipe should be installed and fixed to prevent damage to the monitor parts due to bumps during driving.
