System Overview
To achieve the goal of protecting the atmospheric ozone layer, major countries around the world signed the renowned Montreal Protocol in 1986, deciding to gradually phase out the use of Halon fire extinguishants. HFC-227ea, with its high extinguishing efficiency, rapid response, and zero secondary pollution, is currently considered an ideal substitute for Halon fire suppressants. In response, our company has developed both a cabinet-type HFC-227ea gas fire suppression system (referred to as the "cabinet-type unit")—which operates without a piping network—and a piped HFC-227ea fire protection system (referred to as the "system equipment").
The system equipment consists of components such as storage cylinders, liquid check valves, high-pressure hoses, manifold pipes, selection valves, piping networks, nozzles, and an automatic fire suppression controller. At 20°C, the system’s storage pressure is 4.2 MPa, while its maximum working pressure (at 50°C) reaches 5.3 MPa. The cabinet-type unit includes storage cylinders, high-pressure hoses, a cabinet body, cabinet-mounted nozzles, and an automatic fire suppression controller. At 20°C, the unit’s storage pressure is 2.5 MPa, with a maximum working pressure (also at 50°C) of 4.2 MPa. After discharge, the system leaves no residue behind, features low chemical toxicity, and can be safely used in occupied areas.
Fire Extinguishing Agent Features
1) It is a colorless, odorless gas with an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0, meeting environmental standards and serving as an ideal replacement for Halon fire extinguishants;
2) This new, highly effective, low-toxicity fire extinguishing agent works through both physical and chemical mechanisms. It requires a low extinguishing concentration, uses fewer cylinders, and occupies minimal space.
3) Heptafluoropropane fire suppressant is non-conductive and water-free, ensuring it will not damage electrical equipment, magnetic tapes, data, or other sensitive materials.
4) The minimum design concentration is 7.35% (V/V);
5) The No Observed Adverse Effect Level (NOAEL) of 9% (V/V) is safe for use in occupied areas.
Applicable Occasions
1) It can extinguish Class A, B, and C fires and is safe and effective for use in occupied areas;
2) Areas where, after the release of the agent, it is required to leave no trace or where cleaning up residues proves difficult;
3) The protected area contains valuable items, priceless treasures, precious archives, as well as advanced software and hardware;
4) Particularly suitable for: telecommunications main control rooms, airport control rooms, bank vaults, archives, libraries, computer rooms, and other similar settings.Form
